CRIMINAL LAW
Our Criminal Law Department is based at our office in Hartlepool, under the supervision of Senior Resident Partner Phil Mitchell. Mr Mitchell is a member of The Law Society Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme. He is supported by other members of staff to ensure that our clients are properly represented, whether it be in a Police Station or, at Court.
We are experienced in all aspects of Criminal Law practice, from the straightforward motoring matter in the local Magistrates’ Court, to the complex fraud that requires a very different approach and level of expertise.
Over the years we have developed a network of dedicated professional contacts to further assist our clients. We also have links with several prominent Barristers’ Chambers, who regularly work with us to assist our clients in the Higher Courts.
We keep fully up-to-date with this ever-changing area of practice. We have membership of both the 24-hour Duty Solicitor Service Scheme, which operates in Police Stations, and the Court Duty Solicitor Schemes, which ensures that we provide our clients with a ‘seamless’ service when they most need it, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
